Back to school

De eerste dag van school na de zomervakantie maak ik altijd traditiegetrouw een foto en deze keer was het voor Tristan de eerste keer dat hij na de zomervakantie ook naar school 'mocht'. Camiel naar groep 4 op de dependance en Tristan nog in groep 1 op het hoofdgebouw.


Zo'n foto vraagt er om om gescrapt te worden, dus ik ben weer eens aan de slag gegaan. Eindelijk weer een paar LO's op een rij gemaakt waar ik erg blij mee ben.

De meeste materialen komen van de Studio Calico kit Central High en de washitape van de HEMA (echt leuke tape hebben ze daar :) )

Volgende week komt de nieuwe Dutch Dare schets LO weer online, dus daar mag ik nu mee gaan stoeien.

Scrappy time

Blij dat ik eindelijk weer eens mijn scrapzin heb terug gevonden, het resultaat zijn 3 LO's,

De eerste is met een foto van Camiel, die sinds dit seizoen op honkbal (beeball) zit. HIj vind het helemaal leuk, maar makkleijk is het niet om raak te slaan ;) Hier sloeg hij een 'homerun' en kon direct doorrennen naar de thuisplaat.

De volgende LO heb ik gemaakt voor de DD schets van Cynthia.Je kan nog mee doen en de RAK winnen of onze gastdesigner worden, wie wil dat niet :)

Deze foto heb ik in Frankrijk gemaakt mijn vader met z'n kleinzoons :) Zo'n grappig foto vind ik :)

En de laatste is mijn favoriet , foto gemaakt in Frankrijk, van een dorpje in de buurt bij mijn ouders.

Zo de laatste schoolweek begint en dan is het al weer schoolvakantie. Camiel en Tristan zijn vandaag op schoolreisje geweest naar Piratenland (binnen speeltuin). Het was vandaag erg warm dus dat zal zweten geweest zijn. Maar ze hebben zich prima vermaakt. Voor Tristan was het zijn eerste schoolreisje, hij zat helemaal te stralen in de bus :) en gelukkig kwamen ze weer heelhuids thuis.

Morgen krijgt Camiel zijn rapport, ben benieuwd, maar als hij heeft voortgeborduurd op zijn vorige dan zit dat wel goed. Ook heeft hij te horen gekregen welke juffen hij krijgt in groep 4, dat zijn degene die nu de andere groep 3 hebben, dus die kent hij al aardig goed.
En Tristan blijft in groep 1 (hij is eind januari op school gekomen, dus net even te jong om naar groep 2 te gaan). Maar eventueel kan hij nog overstappen naar groep 2 halverwege het jaar (is een gemengde groep1/2 klas).
 Maar Camiel heeft ook 2,5 jaar gekleuterd (in december jarig) en dat is goed bevallen voor hem, vooral op sociaal emotionele vlak was het goed voor hem. En hij zit nu in een groep van 18/19 kindjes, voor hem perfect, niet TE veel afleiding. Maar wat betreft de lesstof loopt hij aardig voor. Hopelijk kunnen ze hebben wel blijven uitdagen op school, dat heeft hij wel nodig.

Verder hebben we toch nog een vakantie geboekt, ik heb lang gezocht en afgewogen, maar het was lastig (er was al aardig wat volgeboekt in de periode die we vrij hadden gepland) en ik kon niet echt beslissen. Nu gaan we naar Kos en ik heb er helemaal zin in :)

Ik heb ook mijn Project Life weer een beetje opgepakt, week en 9 en 10 afgemaakt, nog geen foto's van gemaakt. Ik denk dat ik daarna verder ga met de recente weken en de rest laat zitten. Hte moet wel haalbaar zijn. 

Ik heb vorige week een RAK gewonnen op Marsha's blog, maar je kijken wat een leuke spulletjes er bij zaten:

Dat was weer een een wat langere update. :)

For this LO I was inspired by this post on the SC blog by Stephanie Dagan, love the effect of  the color blocking, so had to try it myself.
Picture is of Camiel when he was 4, what a difference 2,5 yrs make. Love his smile here with the little tooth. He already lost 7 tooth now and still waiting for 2 new ones to come back ;) And broke a piece of 1 of his new tooth (under) :(

I also made 2 cards, I for my cousin Wendy who gave birth to a little boy named Tygo.She hasn't received it yet and I don't know if she maybe read this, so I wait with posting.

Other card is for a boy of Camiel his school, who is moving to Aruba (talk about an adventure)

Dutch dare sketch

This times dutch dares is one I designed myself (insert proud icon), it's based on an older LO of me.

 

I made a LO about Camiel's 7th birthday LO with it.

The highlighted the sevens on the backgroundpaper with white embossingpowder. I also sprayed white SC mister Huey on the background to tone it down.
I had the red cocktail stirrer with the7 already for a long time, it came in a kit I think, didn't know what to do with I then. But hey they are seven before you know it ;)
I also used to new favorite punches the MS vintage doiley  and the new Jenni Bowlin tab punch
The LO is a bit busy but I love it!

Project Life

 

 
Now that I finished my december daily I can move on to Project Life.:)

I hesitated if should join it, because of the commitment and the time it will cost. But I just thought of the fun of documenting all the little things in life. Especially the details you will forget quickly, the things the boys say, do or make. So I just jump in a see if I can make it happen.

I already had an AC D-ring album that I use and I ordered the AC page protectors with the 6 4x6 slots (on both sides). I like the A style PP  of Becky Higgins' PL but I can't order them right now and I can  get the same affect with this pp's.

And I made a PL banner, I had seen it on other blogs and wanted to try making one of my own, not that hard actually. Want do you think?

One night I lay awake and had a brainwave about using the 1 year, 12 months, 52 weeks etc. :)

And this is week 1. I hard to get good pictures of the the page protectors I noticed, need to work on that.

I inserted the little verse Camiel got from school to read in the newyear, to show how good he can read now, he did that at 12 o' clock, so cute. Needed to add that.

And then I had the backside of the pp to fill, I used the self made christmas card I got, a great spot to save them :) Recognize your card??

This afternoon Camiel is going to do a test if he can take the diploma B exam for swimming. The testing is actually more the exam. I hope he passes because he really is a case of doubt when it comes to diving and swimming under water through the 'hole'.  And I'm done with more then 2 years of going to the swimming pool. I know I also have to do that with Tristan but then I can first take a break from it ;)

Hiep hiep hoera

Gefeliciteerd lieve grote kleine jongen!

Camiel is al weer 7 jaar geworden, hij stond zich vanmorgen om 6 uur al aan te kleden, benieuwd naar zijn cadeaus en hij wilde graag snel naar school om te trakteren.  :)

PS ik zal snel mijn laatse DD pagina's opladen (als ik tijd heb, het is erg druk... )

2 boys + almost 7

Last week I finally found scrapmood back, guess I just was too tired to scrap in the evening after work. The little men has been waking us up several times a night for the last weeks/months. He don't want to stay in his own bed, pfff tiresome.

But the good news is I made 2 LO's.

2 Boys in my life. Love the sunlight (and my boys ;) ) in this picture. A bit simple LO, but such a background paper don't need much. I took some brads and glued them on the butterflies iso making a hole.

 

 Almost 7: I wanted to document the proces we have been to with Camiel, we got him examined for maybe AD(H)D or something related. He is not really hyperactive but has some other symptons like his lack of concentration(mostely at home) and some more. The reult were no ADHD so for they can sat now, but he also got an IQ test and with a IQ of 123 he is a 'gifted' boy. He probably need to be entertained al lot and is easyly bored, which is something we need to watch out on school. We have a meeting planned with his teacher next week to talk about it, but so far he is doing great on school, he is really studious at that's a great thing :) Beside that he is really stubborn and don't take initiatives himself.  I start to know him a little bit more each time!
BUt I just love how this LO came together :) Love the white mister Huey on the woodgrain paper. Made the sub/flower with yellow tutu trim. I als heat embossed the banner and the numbers.
