let's go

Dus even een samenvatting.

Hugs,
Astrid

X-mas tradition + PL week 6

Made this LO last night, Picture is taken on christmasday  at my parents. The last years we made this selfportrait of all of us, so I becomes kind of a tradition. I already saw that I wrote the wrong year, will have to correct that.

And this is my week 6, I only made one page protector, because the week before were 3pp's and now I can start we a spread for next week.

Tristan fell on the ice last sunday during iceskating. He was bleeding heavily, we went to the hospital to check on him, if he had loose teeth or something wrong with his jaw. But that was all OK, only wounds on his nose, lip, chin and gum. Poor little boy.

LOts of walking this week, because I was to slippery to go by bike in the snow. I can't park my car at my my work, because I live too close by and the direct neighbourhood is all paid parking. Sometimes I go to school by car, bring Camiel then walk to the building of Tristan (Camiel's classroom is in a dependance) end then walk to work. I prefer to go by bike though ;)

Enjoy your sunday!!

Hugs,
Astrid

Top 10

Last hours of 2011 time to make up the balance. It has been a restless year, I've seen lots of sad and happy things. On to a fresh new year, with lots of new oppertunities and hopefully a few changes.

Also a nice moment to look back to all the layouts I made this year and make a top 10 just like last year

I don't think I made as much LO's as last year, I think it's because of Project 12, which made me struggle a bit. I noticed I also made quite a lot of cards.

TOP TEN:

There also need to be a LO about me included :) My little word for 2011, still working on that ;) Probably a lifetime project.
Love that I made a relative clean design here (and love these paper together)
Fun design and I love these flag shaped tags :) And that scribble paper :D love
LOve the story and the background paper with the ink.
Also love this story and circles are really my thing :)
I choose this LO for the journaling very special to me . And again the papercircles (and flagtags ;) )
Love the pics and the design and ink splatters
Love the memorie here, this LO hangs in my haalway :)

Woodgrain with wite misterhuey swoon :)
Th elast LO I made (is usually my fave ;) )   Love again these circles and of course the pic.
And red turqoise and green my colorcombo!!

Curious what your top ten is, give me a link if you made 1 and I come and admire. And I also like to know what your fave is of me (don't have to be of of my top 10 of course), love the comments last year.

Not much time left in this year, I wish you all good for 2012 and lot of creative flows :)
Till next year, same place, same gal, different scraps.

Dutch Dare LO

And then my creative flow left the building. My laptop died (mostely due to me who threw a glas f water over it (oeps),  so I have a new one now (yeahhh ;) )  But then I had to place all my programs and data on it, that took a lot of my time. Next was our dishwasher who died, so we had a expensive month..
So I didn't  create much last month, only for the Dutch Dares:

The last sketch challenge went online last wednesday.
This was the sketch by Monique

I made a LO with 1 photo iso 3, it is a family picture made with the selftimer during our holiday in Mallorca.  I thought that the backgroundpaper Sassafras was just made for my pic. I love the outcome and am going to hang it in our hallway.

Take a look at all of the LO's from the Dutch Dare team, for  a change to become guestdesigner or with the RAK.

I didn't show my LO for the DD challenge before this one, the challenge was: varen/vervoer (sailing/transport). I used pictures of our travel to Mallorca. In the pocket I put the boarding passes.

Have nice weekend! Today we have a party because my sister Ingeborg celebrated her 40th birthday yesterday.   Gefeliciteerd zusje!!! ;)  I made her a card andbought her a present of course. She lives in a not so big appartment in Amsterdam, so the party will be held in a cafe.

Dutch dare sketch #41

This week was again time for a Dutch Dare sketch challenge, this is number 41 by Marsha:

And this is my LO about a rare moments of the boys, were the forgot the are sworen enemies and gave eachother a hand to go look for adventure (at Drievliet)  ;)  Luckely we were quick enough to take a picture of it as prove.

We returned this week from our holiday in Mallorca, we had a great time. The weather was super. The minidisco, the pool and the beach were the kids favorites. I enjoyed reading my book, the few quiet times, the weather, eating out and of course the kids having fun. I'm sure LO's with some of the pics will follow.

And here are 2 other LO's, one I made befor the holiday:
SMILE, Pictures also from Drievliet, Tristan was just big enough to do this ride, it was more scary then I thought it would be. :) The boys, especially Camiel loved it.
The embroidered smile tag from Amy Tangerine came in the SC Paper Moon kit, love it!

And the next LO I made last night with the latest SC kit Mind the Gap, that was waiting for me after the holiday (at my neighbors). Love the circles stamp and the Sassafras paper. Pictures of Camiel with a beard of candy floss :)

Tomorrow the normal working life starts again. Yikes.

Hugs, Astrid

creative weekend

Last weekend I was really on a roll (creatively that is :) ), made a few LO's and I really like them. If I my say so myself :) I can show you 2 now, I also made one for the Dutch Dares, but will have to wait a week.

 Treehugger
Funny pics of Tristan in France with the old peartree in the garden, he was holding it, like hugging. ;)
I love the effect of the pumice stone distress ink (love that color) on the cosmo cricket cardstock with woodgrain reliƫf. Again I used ironwire for the flowerstems (I always love ironwire, I should use it more) and I love that used the really old big orange polka dot brad (isn't it great when you actually use your old stuf) for the inside of the sun.

Opa helpen (helping grandpa)
The last SC kit Lawn Party had so much fun stuf, I love the exclusive SC doiley paper (cut out a few doileys). I also love the backside (green chickenwire). I only have 1 piece so there I had a problem, but I have cut it strategic so I have left to use the barbwire side. I also love the paper towel circles, I have misted the with orange mister huey (SC).
I just love this pics, my dad was working in the garden and the boys (especially Tristan), wanted to help him with the wheelbarrow and I love that he let them.

Only 1 day left to work and then it's weekend. Well that is not totally true, because I have to be stand by whole weekend for my job (I'm a programmer and we are doing a sofware upgrade). So I take my labtop home, only in case of problems they need me, hopefully I don't have to do much, , but I have a bad feeling.

Further more we had a bad week last week.
Our wasmachine died and left us with a lot of water on the ground a some smoke, apparently something burned, but it stop luckely. I'm so glad  took a look at the machine before I went to bed. But now (of course) we already have a new one (because who could live without a wasmachine).

Etienne was at a weekend getaway with his colleagues because the boss celebrated his 65th birthday. He was in Friesland (north of Holland), they did a kind of real Frisian sports. (skutsje sealen, fierljeppen en also kaatsen). Well to keep the story short, he got a ball on his eye with kaatsen and couldn't see much anymore. He needed to go to the eyehospital, he got examined and different medications. His eye is going to be allright but all the time he can't see and details, so no reading and he can't look in the light (because his pupil stays really wide due to the medicine). After 1,5 week he can now reduce the medicine and within a week his sight have to be better. Really badluck, but I'm glad it's not permanent.

Camiel finally could swim for his diploma A last wednesday after having to do the trail version a second time. He woke up that day with almost 40 degrees Celsius fever, so that was not going to happen that day... My parents waited to go back to France do they could see him swimn. Just that day, what bad luck for him, he has to take more lessons the next weeks and has another attempt on june 22.

But then again worse thing could happen. We will laugh about it in the future.

Hugs,
Astrid
