Dutch Dare let's party en workshop

De dare van deze week is perfect voor de verjaardags foto's van Tristan die klaar lagen om te worden gescrapt.

Vier jaar alweer, tijd vliegt echt. Hij zit nu een maand op school en het gaat goed. Hij doet goed mee, geen traantjes bij het afscheid. Hij moet nog wel wennen aan al de kindjes en is wat terughoudend, maar dat komt vast goed.

Ik heb een collage gemaakt met Picasa en verder een hoop ponsen gebruikt.

Deze foto's zijn allemaal van zijn verjaardag zelf. Ik heb ook nog een collage liggen van het feestje dat we het weekend er na hebben gevierd.

Bij Studio Calico hebben ze elke maand een online class en deze maand heb ik voor het eerst gekocht: Happy little moments, het wordt gegeven door Maggie Holmes en we maken een 'altered book' . Een boek waarin we foto's verwerken, helemaal geweldig vind ik het. Ik had de kit die je er bij kon kopen niet besteld maar maak gebruik van mijn eigen 'stash' :) Ik heb genoeg! En ik had ook nog een aantal boeken liggen die al eens had gekocht om te gebruiken, maar nooit wat mee gedaan. Mijn boek heeft een perfect turquoise kleur dus daar hoefde ik niet veel meer mee te doen.

Dit zijn mijn 'cover' en de eerste pagina's. Ik heb al een paar andere bladzijdes gemaakt maar die staan nog niet op de foto.

 Ik heb fabrip (SC) op de rug gedaan. Er zijn steeds secties van bladzijdes er uit gesneden, zodat er ruimte is voor embellishments.

 Op alle bovenhoeken heb ik een hoekpons gebruikt.

Like I wrote in my last post, last saturday I followed  a stampworkshop at the Craftorij in Ede together with Petra. The teacher of this workshop was Jolanda , she brought a lot of Katzelcraft stamps (but I also used a few stamps f anther brand).
We learned a lot of technique and I not a frequent stamper, so lots of new stuff for me. We had lots of fun and (especially I ;) ) got really messy.

These are the tags we made and I write down what we did, so I can remember it myself ;):

1. Distres ink on the edges and the images is also stamped with the same distres ink (antique linen) and embossed with clear powder.

2. Stamped with distress ink and also embossed and for the background 2 colors of distress ink on a craft sheet with water and put the tag in this and then dry and add a few drops more.

3. Same technique for background as 2 and the rozet is made with a Tim Holtz die, after that some stamping with stazon and a few embellies added.

 4.  background made with shavingfoam (!) in which we added disress ink (refill) put the tag in in, remove foam and let dry. Fun  technique :) , stampted with stazon (not really happy with the result), so I added some white paint mixed with water at home over the total tag and a string + heart.

5. First distressed the whole tag with pumice stone ink and with a flower stencil and matte medium made the flowers, dry with heating tool. Then added broken china distress ink with the foam tool. After that added the text stamp. Great technique with the matte medium, need to do that more often.

6. Splashed gesso mixed with water on the tag, the same background technique as 2, the gesso works as resist. Then add stamps with stazon.

7. Put refill distres ink on a brush and wipe over the upper edge of the tag, spray water and let it drip over the tag. This looked a bit bloody (huh Petra ;) so I added a scary girl stamp and embossed it.

8. Dab distress ink over a swirl stencil on the tag with the lighest color of 3 distess inks, move stencil and add darker color, move stencil again and add darkest color. Then I added the chandelier stamp with stazon.
At home I added matte multi medium mixed with antique linen ink on top of the tag, washi tape, string  and brad.

9. The tag was my favorite. Background made with the same technique as 2. After that stamp the tree and embossed. Than put stazon ik on the same stamp, poured UTEE from melting pot on a part of the stamp. When it was hard, remove it (you can only do this with rubber stamps and not on wood, not clear stamps they will melt)  and pu it on the right spot on the tag, attach with glue. Added a wrd stamp with stazon.

That's it for today, I am busy with a canvas for the daughter of a friend who turns 10, hope she is going to like it.

2nd class project

Yep made pictures of my 2nd finished project of the class of Wilna. We made a puffy heart with a piece of fabric and I filled it with cotton balls, I handstiched it in stead of with the machine, which I don't recommend ;) The background i made by glueing bookpages on cardstock and some gesso. I also cut some hearts in the background, added puffy heartstickers (zeeman), rhinestones, AC sticker, Jenni Bowlin ticket. I really like the effect.

Wilna's class

Really time for a little post.
We have been ill here off and on, lots of leaking noses and so.
Tristan is back on his medicines (puffers) I look like he has toddlerasthma, noises in his lungs and also eczema and he is really scratching and itching. So sad to see. But after a hormone ointment (hormonen zalfje) it is better now. We have an appointment at a kinderarts (paediatrician) but that is just 9 octobre. Hope he grows over it. I know how terrible it is to have itch all the time.

He has 2 teeth now, no photo here to proof that, next time promise. And he starting to move backwards on the ground and trying to put his butt up so he is in the starting postition for crawling. So cute but on the other side it goes to quick...

Wilna's class cupcakes and coffee at SIStv is just wonderful. Lots of painted art from her side which we can download. And lots of great new techniques. I have finished two projects so far.
I will show you one, the other I have photograph when I'm home.

We made the cute minialbum with as cover an starbucks cup, she is so clever. Because off lacking a starbuck here, I printing the one she scanned (on watercolor paper) and glued that on a Mc Donalds cup (yummie milkshake ;)). After that used watercolor paints. ANd I use this cute little hello kitty at the front.
Because I dont drink coffee, I focussed on the cupcakes and made the album about baking together with Camiel, which always loves, especially the decorating AND tasting part.

update

Het is al weer even geleden, het is toch moeilijk om regelmatig een blog bij te houden vind ik. En dan ben ik nu nog thuis, maandag ga ik weer werken dan zal het helemaal lastig worden. Ik ben bang dat tijd mijn grootste vijand wordt dan. Ik zie er wel een beetje tegen op om weer in het ritme te komen, ik ben ook nog niet echt goed hersteld van de zwangerschap, ik heb voor morgen toch maar eens een afspraak met de huisarts gemaakt.

It's been a while since I updated my blog. It's hard to keep up I think. And next monday 'm starting working again. I guess time is gonna be my biggest enemy. I''m not yet looking forward to start again, I'm also not really recovered from the pregnancy, I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow.


Leuk nieuws over de blessed LO die ik voor de OLW challenge had gemaakt (zie vorige post), hij staat in slideshow, joepie! Petra maakte mij er attent op, ik had het zelf nog niet gezien. Ik denk dat ik met het volgende woord ook mee ga doen, ik voel een verslaving opkomen ;)

Nice news about de Blessed Lo I made for the OLW challenge (see last post), they put it in slideshow, yeah!! Petra let me know, I didn't see it myself yet. I think I'm gonna join the next wordt too, I feel a new addiction coming ;)


Met de jongens is alles goed. Tristan is sinds vorige week aan het wennen op de kinderopvang en dat gaat hartstikke goed. De juffen vinden het zo'n zoet, schattig kind, dan ik natuurlijk wel even trots :)

Eerything is Ok with the boys. Since last week Tristan is going to daycare to get used and very thing is going very good. The y think he is so sweet, of course I'm a litle bit proud then :)

Met Camiel gaat het eindelijk goed met de zindelijk training, hij is nu overdag zonder luier, alleen is hij te lui om naar de wc te gaan, dus moeten we hem er echt opzetten, want hij wil echt niet. Hij heeft de afgelopen week geen ongelukje meer gehad. Pfff dat scheelt een hoop luiers!
Camiel is finally doing Ok with the pottytraining, during the day he has no daiper on, but he is too lazy to go to the bathroom... So we have to put him there once in a while, he really don't want to go. Last week no accident anymore. Pfff that a lot less diapers for us!


De laatste tijd heb ik veel LO's gemaakt, de meeste zijn met de scrap-club kit van april gemaakt. Ze hebben een wedstrijd wie d emeeste LO met 1 kit kan maken, dus ik doe mijn best ;)

Ik ben gisteravond naar een bloemsierkunst workshop geweest. Iets heel anders maar wel erg leuk om te doen. Dat deed ik vroeger wel meer, nu nog maar heel af en toe. Het was een verjaardagscadeau voor mijn vriendin Hellen die ik samen met m'n zus Ingeborg had gegeven. Eerst uiteten geweest en toen gezellig een krans gemaakt. Ik had wel m'n fototoestel bij mij, maar helemaal vergeten foto's te maken. Ja slecht... Maar ik heb net wel foto's van de krans gemaakt, kunnen jullie hem toch zien.

I have been to a flowerworkshop (don't know the word in english). Something completely different, but fun to do, I used to do it before, once in a while. It was a birthdaypresent for my friend Hellen I gave together with my sis Ingeborg. FIrst we went out for diner and after that we made wreath (is that the right word???) Totally forgot to make pictures, really bad scrapper... But I made some pictures of the result at home, so you can see it.




















Well this post took me way too long to make, maybe next time I switch to only english or just dutch. I don't know if there is anybody out there who don't speak dutch and likes to read my blog. Didn't do much promotion ;) so I don't think so. But I did see some girls made a link to my blog (Birgit, Petra and Mariska, very nice of you to think of me)
But anyhow if you read this I love to know, leave me a comment!!


Oooo and I almost forgot Petra I saw your award thing on your blog. Thanks so much for the nice words!!! I'm have to get back about sending it through, next time!

scrap-a-licious

Zo dat is een tijd geleden. Helaas ben ik ziek op het moment (keelpijn enzo), ik hoop dat het snel weer over is. Afgelopen weekend was ik al ziek, maar gelukkig was het zondag al weer beter, want ik had een workshopdag van scrap-a-licious. Maar helaas gisteren is het weer erger geworden. Maar ja een mama mag niet ziek zijn... Gelukkig was Camiel op de creche en kon Etienne hem halen en brengen. Camiel kwam net niet helemaal lekker thuis, dus die ligt lekker vroeg in bed. En ook Tristan is verkouden, dus drinkt zijn flesjes slecht.

It'sbeen a while, unfortunately I'm ill at the moment. It started last weekend, I was glad it was better on sunday because I had a workshopday of scrap-a-licious. Unlucky me yesterday it got worse again. The whole family is ill on and off. Tristan has a cold again, so he doesn't drink his bottles very well.


Even over scrap-a-licious. Ik had met Petra afgesproken, ik had haar nog nooit IRL ontmoet. Bedankt Petra voor de gezellige dag.
Het was erg geslaagd, leuke workshops van Corinne en Celine, leuke mensen ontmoet (de meeste kende ik alleen van cyberspace ;) ) en een aantal mensen die ik al eerder had ontmoet. En natuurlijk lekker shoppen in de winkel memorylane scrapbooking van Danielle (het was leuk om je weer te onmoeten, ook al was je erg druk ;)


The scrap-a-licious workshopday was really fun. I had a date with Petra, who i didn't meet in IRL yet, thanks Petra for the nice day.
We had nice workshops by Corinne and celine, I met great people and did some shopping in the shop memorylane scrapbooking of Danielle.

Ik ben nog bezig met de projectje af te maken, dus foto's volgen later.

Wat ik wel kan tonen zijn mijn eerste resultaten van een online cursus die ik volg van Jessica Sprague: up and running, over de beginselen van het digiscrappen. Ik volg de cursus vooral om wat te leren van Photoshop Elements, het programma is iets te compliceerd om het jezelf aan te leren vind ik. We zijn begonnen met premade achtergronden en dit zijn de resultaten

Het is in ieder geval makkelijk om in bed te doen op mijn laptop nu ik ziek ben.

It is something I can do easily in bed on the laptop now I'm ill.

Nog even een update over Tristan, hij is al weer 6 weken oud, time flies. Hij houdt ons 's nachts nog aardig bezig ;) Hij groeit als kool, vorige week is hij gewogen en gemeten op het consultatie buro en hij is al weer 57 cm, dus we gaan al naar de kleertjes maat 62.
Het is de bedoeling om elke maand een foto te maken van hem op dezelfde plek (hebben we bij Camiel ook gedaan). Van mijn werk heb ik een grote knuffel pinguin gekregen en die leek mij erg leuk om daarvoor te gebruiken.

A little update on Tristan, he is already 6 weeks old, time is flying. He is still keeping us busy at night ;) He is already a big boy 57 cm, he already starts to fit cloths size 62.
We are making monthpictures (just like we did with Camiel), i use a big stuffed pinguin I got from my work.
