Long long time

Yep it's been a long time, life got in between blogging I guess and our holiday in France of course.
Which have been lovely by the way. The weather could have been better, quite some days with rain and lots of clouds. Well you can't have it all. First week we have been with my parents in their 2nd house in Fouvent le Haute, a little village in the province: France Compté; Region: Haute Soane. They bought the house last december so it was my first time visiting, I was really exciting to see it, of course I have seen pictures, but that's not the same. The have lots of rebuilding (is that the word? klussen) to do.

Here some pictures of the outside, like you can see they already did the shutters, burning off all the old paint, sanding and painting (lots of work it was) But it already such a different view, lovely blue.

It was really nice to spent some time with my parents there. Of course they loved to see the grandchildren for a whole week.

The 2nd week we rented a mobile-home on a campsite in the Bourgogne. It was next to a lake, which was a great area to walk around.

We visited some vide greniers (kind of garage sales). I scored some real vintage music paper and nice buttons. So I was totally happy ;)

When we got home we had still 1 week with no work, yeah loved that. Did the necessary washing and cleaning thing. But we also went to IKEA and visited
Madurodam, last time i was there I was a little kid myself. Really fun to see it again, Camiel loved it, especially the Sesamstraat part :)

Etienne and I even had 1 day together, the kids where at daycare and we did some shopping. We wanted to go to see a movie but nothing we both (!) liked at the right time.

Tristan is already 7 months... Already eating solid foods, which he seems to like more than a bottle of milk. He hasn't been feeling really well the last days, he gets 2 teeth at a time and also has a cold. Lots of waking up at night, lots of crying if we leave him alone in bed or in the box. He liked to be under the people :) Hope that will approve soon, so we get a bit more sleep. But he is still a happy kid in between...

So long post, anybody still reading :)

I have been really creative since I came home. Made lots of LO's but haven't found time to post them. Planning to do that in the follwing days.

The first 2 LO are of the scrap-club september kit, which was waiting for me at my neighbours house when we got back from France. And also the august Sudio Calico kit. Both are awesome!

For the first time I made LO's with the seize 6x12, really fun to try. And I used the vintage music paper and buttons :)

I found this picture of Etienne's mother in the 70's camping, nic eto work with such an old picture.

OK that's it for now. Try to post more LO's in the next days.
See you!

New LO's

Hi, just want to post my latest LO's. Not much more to share, a few weeks working and than finally 3 weeks holiday, looking forward to that. For 1 week we are going to visit my parents in France, who just bought a 2nd house there (France compte), so looking forward to see that. And we want to book a little chalet/house at a camping or so, in probably the Bourgogne (that is not too far away from my parents). But we still have to book that, I know a bit late. But I already looked at some spots and there was still some things vacant.

But here are the LO's :) First 3 I made with stuff of the july scrapclub kit and I added some of my own stuff.

Love this picture of Tristan looking at me, he loves to make contact to people, love that, my sweet happy little boy.

Some details:

Again a LO of Tristan in a bucket taking a bath, love that he puts his feet up.
Really like this grommets, such a great effect.

Details:

Camiel loves to pose latetly, I'm not complaining ;) We made this picture on the pier in Scheveningen, a few weeks ago, it was a very windy day. I used some older rubons of Rhonna Farrer and word stickers of 7Gypsies, feels good using some of my older stuff.

The last one, I used a collage with pictures of Tristan his 4th week. I did it with Picasa, so easy.
I painted the grungeboard swirls with crackle paint and sprayed glimmer mist over that.

Thanks for stopping by!

See you Astrid xxx

babyalbum

Yeah the weekend has started. I have a busy day ahead tomorrow. First thing in the morning is training, in the afternoon a birtday and in the evening eating in a restaurant together with a friend. It's been a long time that I did that, so I'm looking forward to it.

Last christmas I joined a secret santa swap and I received the most precious babyalbum made by Petra, I filled it with photo's of the first weeks of Tristan's life. Did that already a few months ago and I don't know why it took me so long to share it here.

So here it is finally :D

For the record, the album was made by Petra and I filled it up.
Thanks again Petra, I really cherish it!!

The canvas for my parents is almost ready, after that I really want to do some scrapping. I received the july scrap-club kit, I think 2 weeks ago and haven't even touch it...

Have a nice weekend

Spread

Weekend is almost over, time flies as usual.
I promised to show my latest LO, a spread about some facts of Tristan at 4 months. I tried to keep it simple this time, I just love this elegant paper by Sassafras. The photo's are of Tristan bathing in a bucket, so sweet. Oh and I almost forgot, fashionista Lisa Garay put it on the catwalk at SIStv, woohoo :D

The seperate pages:

Some detailpictures:

Tristan is already 5 months old now, talking about time flying. He is starting to move a little, not yet turning on his tummy. He can reach for a toy or something and hold it with 2 hands. Also kicks with his feet to the toys.

I'm starting with medical training now, to get stronger and control the pain I have (not all the time, but when I walk a lot for instance). After the first training I had a lot of muscle aches and also pain in my lower back. But I'm hoping it will get better.

I didn't do a lot of scrapping lately. But I am busy with a canvas for my parents to hang in their home in France (they just bought a 2nd house in the north of france, they still have to do a lot of work on the house, redecoration and building). The canvas is so they don't forget us :) I will show the project when I'm finished.
This august we are going to visit them there, I have seen a lot of pictures but I'm still very curious.

Not much to say right now, till next time. If you are visting I love it when you leave a comment!!

Beach

Today we have been to Scheveningen, to the beach. It was very windy, lots of sand blowing in the face. But is was warm and we like the beach. We made lots of pictures. Camiel wanted to go in the water, normally he is not really a hero. So I let him run in his undies and he really enjoyed it. And I enjoyed watching it and of course taking pictures ;)

Camiel and me, here you can see how windy it was.

Yesterday I took some pictures of Tristan enjoying his bucket bath. He puts his feet up, so funny.

Camiel always wants to watch and Tristan is always smiling when he sees Camiel. My hearts melts everytime when I see how they interact.

And at last a LO I realised I didn't show on my blog, I was really satisfied with it.

Title is note to myself, I used the scrap-club may sketch (made by Petra, I was happy to use my square punch ;) and combined it with the OLW challenge of a few weeks ago (think). Journaling: While thinking about it enjoy life more. Also did some therapeutic hidden jounaling ;) The sewing was also kind of therapeutic ;) I don't own a sewing machine, so I did it by hand. And I can officialy say that is a LOT of work... But I like the effect.

Details:

Last week I made a new LO, I show you next time, I need to edit the pictures. It a spread something I don't do very often. I am really satisfied, so are you curious now you ;)

I off to feed the little one his last bottle of today and than finally get some rest, tomorrow 6 o'clock my alarm goes off, bzzz. Really hard work getting 2 little boys to daycare and myself to work. ;)

almost time

Yes almost time for the game Holland-Roemenie (EK soccer). Ok this is not really an important game because we already know we are in the quarter finals, but still I like to watch.

I wanted to show my latest LO with some pink paislee paper (love this brand!). I use also a nice colr of tissuepaper, maskingtape, paint, lace, rhinestones (on the tree) nailheads (papier valise), prima flower, metal thingie (also papier valise, love that site).

I love this picture of Camiel, he is 3,5 years old now, so I wanted to write down some facts about him now. What he can do, likes to do and that he has no pacifier anymore, finally! :

And some details:

It's starting now, so bye
