DD schets #44

Last wednesday it was time for sketch #44 on the Dutch Dare blog. Sketch was made by Marsha and a good oppertunity to use more pics on a LO.

I used it to scrap the pics of Camiel on his first schoolday. His first day in 'groep 3' were he finally is going to learn to read, write and math. On his first day he made a little book about IK (me), the first word they learned. So cute, I added in a pocket (Smash) behind the picture on the right.

Here  you can see the the other creations and read about the the change to win a RAK or be our guestdesigner if you join the sketchchallenge.

Last saturday I followed a stampworkshop together with Petra in Ede at the Craftorij, Jolanda was the teacher. We had lots of fun, got really messy (especially my fingers ;) )  and made very nice tags with lots of techniques and Katzelkraft stamps. I will take some pics tomorrow so you can see them.

dutch dare krant

And it's  already that time of the monthagain , the new Dutch Dare is online. This time the theme was newspaper. Because I couldn't come up with a subject, I decided to use newspaperas background. I Took a piece of cardstock and glued pieces of newspaper on it with Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi-Medium in Matte finish. After that I started to get messy with white paint, different inkts and I used a star as mask for spray painting (Miser huey Barnwood). Then I added a few embelishments, piece of paper and of cource a picture of Camiel where he was showing of his moves. ;)

Take a look at what creative things the DT made and have a change to win this awesome vintage RAK.

Last week finished another LO but I still haven't shw it because everytime I wanted to take a picture there wan't enough daylight :(  Fall is really showing his signs. Although last week we had really nice weather, a bit replacement of the summer we had missed this july and august...

Smile: I went a little wild with embelishing this LO :) I misted a metal heart (with a cutout pattern) and added green/white string. Futher lots of buttons and stones.

Last week Camiel joined a training at a beeball (baseball) team and they asked his to play at a tournament with this new team. He really loves it, the weather was nice (great for us too ;) )
And they even ended in 2nd place.

A few pics:

Yesterday I visited the St Maartenskliniek in Woerden to let a orthopedic take a look at my lefthip (also made x-ray pictures of zourse), because I have often pains and can't walk a lot without pain and so on. The Physiotherapist couldn't help me anymore and besides that my sister has hip dysplasia which is hereditary.
The result is unfortenately I have an abnormality at my hipjoint (already all my life). They can do nothing about it now (only some training at the phsysiotherapist to get stronger) because an operation is a step too far (which is really heavy and takes a long time recovering, half year or so). I don't see the need for that yet neither.
But I'm a bit sad about this, because it will never get better only worse....  At lease I know what's the matter now.

And now I need to pick up Camiel from school, he had a (cold) cookinglesson after school.

Astrid

Faces

Had this LO laying around for about a week, but I just didn't like the way I started it. Finally yesterdayevening I started from almost the beginning and now I'm satisfied.

So many faces
I used a few pictures of Camiel during our summerholiday.
I misted the mistable scallopes with mister huey white and a lite  'pony' spray.

Project 12 august

Finally started to work on project 12 again, this it was with august pictures. I still have to do june and july. Like the other LO's I made a spread with the sketch, used craft cardstock as a background, the SC month stamp, and the large tag for journaling and also the calender tag.

Cards

Cards are not my speciality butfor  special occasions I gladly make an exception.
Last week our friend Katja celebrated her 40th birthday, she had a great party. She celebrated it in a playground because most people they know have little kids, a clown performed and we had great weather, great food and drinks for the adults. Kids had a blast, what more do you want..
Made this card:

A week ago Lizze was born the daughter of Maaike and Michiel, first time I made a newborn card. Funny thing was Etienne handed me a postcard with the image of the little dress( came with a magazine: At Home) and mentioned that maybe it was something for the card. Great thinking :)
Congrats on your beautiful daughter Maaike and Michiel!

Also made a few LO's a while ago.

Oog, Ojo, Eye
A page about the story of Etienne's eye, who got hit by a 'kaatsbal' on a weekend trip with his colleagues. Long story, but luckily his eye is almost back to normal, but for weeks he couldn't see normal.

2 Ontdeugende binkies
2 naughty boys, picture speaks for itself.
Not too satisfied with this LO, lack ofinspirations sucks...  But I do like the little wire leaves I made for the flower

Currently I'm busy with the Project 12 months sketches, I'm really behind, need to do june, july and august. And I need to make my LO for the DD sketch of next wednesday, so I need t get busy and get away from the PC.  ;)

Dutch Dare jeans

Time for the Dutch Dare of september, hosted by Margot. The theme is jeans, I used a piece of a jeans both Camiel and Tristan had worn. Picture is of Tristan on holiday on Mallorca. Camiel insisted to go on the trampoline with the elastic bands so you can jump really high. Of course Tristan wanted too, he was a little bit to small, but he loved it anyway. This is the result.

Take a look at what the rest made (and there are some really great LO/mini's)

Astrid
