Dutch Dare sketch #35

This was the sketch of Marsha we used this week.

This is the LO I made, the pictures are of the kidsparty of Camiel in Piratenland. The colors where a bit difficult to work with. I rotated the sketch because of the landscape pictures. I started the Lo during out DT meeting, but finished it at home. Monique brought some goodies she got from an other DT she is a member of. I used a few of them on this LO.

januari 18

Already 2,5 weeks over in this new year. So am I already used to write 2011 in the date, not  yet ;) I always adjust a bit slow to that :) Last sunday we had a meeting with a couple of the dutch dare girls at Danielle's house, it was a pity not everybody could join us. But we had a great time, chatting, scrapping (I'm not so great at scrapping with others, I think I can't focus enough on what I'm doing :)  )Danielle had made yummie cupcakes and we made clubsandwiches together.

Last weeks I made a couple of layouts.
Just hangin': love the pictures a made that day on the fence, I used some pics already before.

Motherhood: just some thought about being a mother and Camiel made me a mom :) The backgroung paper have a resistent pattern, I used some ink and mist on it. That red is a envelop that I cut in two

 Somewhere over the rainbow, already had the rainbow paper lying around for a while, but just couldn't get it right. Finaly using it but I'm still not really satisfied :( but I love this quote. The woodveneer stars are by SC.

I also have a dutch dare sketch LO, I will show that tomorrow when it''s on the blog.

Dutch Dare OLW

Our Dutch Dare blog has a new design come take a look and we also added a few new members to the pack, welcome to Johanna, Margot, Monique and Petra! (links at the right side of my blog).
The new challenge is to scrap about your little word of 2011.
I choose FOCUS.
Focus on the main things in life, focus on the main things at work, focus on my little family, focus to make better photographs (practice my skills).

I put the journaling in the envelop underneat the picture (still have to do that). I made the flower with a pleated ribbon. I decided I wanted use some distressing and pink and glitter. Not my usual :)

The last DD pages

First of all happy newyear to all of you, glad that you come to visit my blog once in a while and even leave a comment. Hope to see you all this year. I also haope all your wishes foe next year come true!!

Yesterday I finished the last pages of my december daily (now I'm glad it's done ;) )
But I'm also glad I did it beause december is always a bit special for us especially with the birthdays.

Day 27: We went to the zoo: Blijdorp.

 Day 28: Tristan loves his present he got for christmas: a K3 DVD and I fixed the 'knuffel' of Camiel, he is already 6 but he still loves his knuffel but he was sad he was really almost 'dead', he wanted me to sew him so I tried ;)  (and the next day I checked the shop who I knew solded the same knuffels and yes still had them, excellent ;)  He was so happy we he opened the present :D

Day 29: Camiel and Tristan went for a sleepover at opa and oma, because the next day I had to work and daycare was closed this week. So I was home alone (Etienne had to work late) for half a afternoon and the evening and I decided to scrap. This is the result

 Day 30: A place for some handmade cards (by Marsha, Danielle and Camiel :) )

 Day 31: last day of the year, we stayed home with the for of us, boys went to bed at the normal time but Tristan woke up around 9 '(I think th efireworks) and didn't wanted to sleep in bed anymore so he stayed awake till 1.30 am!! and  we woke Camiel so we could do some (kids) fireworks. We met some neighbourgs outside. I tried to make pictures of the fireworks, always difficult.

Favorites

I thought it would be fun to show you my top 10 layouts of 2010. Like so many people do at the end of the year. Wow has this year really flown by.
I just counted and I came till:
110 LO's of which 3 spreads
3 projects (3 canvases and 2 letterboxes)
1 december album
and even some cards (I think around 5 ;)
And I even had 1 LO published in the online magazine Scrapstreet :) and I made it till the Dutch Dares DT :)

Man I can say that I have been productive or not (don't really knohw wat the odds of former years are actually)

But here are my favorites (I is difficult to should):

December Daily day 20 - 26

We had a nice christmas. The first day we went to my parents as usual together with Ingeborg my sister. I made the entree of the diner (cucumber carpaccio and big prawns), we had rabbit as main course and I also made the desert monchoucake :D and we also had a cheeseplate. So it was all yummie .
The second day was just the 4 of us, we played on the wii (Camiel got a new game of Santa) and Tristan got a DVD of K3 which he really adores ;). Camiel also watched a Harry Potter DVD (year 2), we are also reading the books (well, I am reading for him). Maybe he is a bit too young for them, but he just loves them, and he really understands the stories. We are in the middle of book 3 now, we had to bring it back to the library, but I think we are going to get it again tomorrow, he keeps asking about it ;)

And now back to the december daily album, I am up to date, so proud of me :)

Day 20: Through the snow to daycare and work

 Day 21: A pj day a home

Day 22: We made a gingerbread house, atleast I kept falling apart. But luckily I fast anough for a picture ;)

Day 23: I worked a day from home, finally I appear in the album ;)

Day 24: Christmas grocery shopping and presents for my parents and also Santa brought something for the boys for under the tree. 

 Day 25: 1st christmasday at my parents

Day 26: 2nd christmasday a quiet day with the 4 of us. We went for a walk outside and we eat gourmet in the evening 

I also have a few LO's I made the last weeks but didn't upload yet.

Last christmas, made with the latest SC kit. Ans the wood veneer stars are also SC. And this was the last the kwartaalchallenge, a LO with the songtext last christmas by Wham. I only used the title.

December Daily day 6-19

I'm up to date with my december daily minialbum, yeah for me :D I haven't made pictures of day 20 and 21. But I will show the rest, prepare for a picture overflow.

Day 6: decoration of the house can begin.

 Day8: Buying the christmas trees.

 Day 9: The guirlande I made the night before add a workshop (made a mistake in the journaling, damn.. ;) )

 Day 10: I received happy mail a box full of scrapbook goodies of Studio Calico :) I also ordered stuff for Petra so I wasn't all for me :) I also did the party decorations because next day we celebrated the birthdays of Camiel and Tristan

 Day 11: we celebrated the birthdays, picture of the room before, the cake with picture and blowing the candles by Camiel. The metal flowers are from a magazine ( I think 'at Home') I think from a few years ago already. I addes some rhinestones.

Day 12: Decoration of the christmas trees, preparing of the treats for Camiel to give to the kids of his class next day on his actual birtday, and packing Camiel his present a bike.

Day 14: Birtday of Etienne. Tristan wanted to give his present to Etienne through the telephone ;) Luckily for him daddy came home early from work so he couls give hime right away.

 Day 17: We had lots of snow, Etienne brought us all to school, daycare and work. I snowed all day.

Day 18: A lazy day, Etienne is ill, the stomachflu, I tried to take a nap on the bench and Tristan only wanted to nap in the livingroom.

Still lots of snow here. Today we did some more sleighting down a little hill we have near our house. Kids had so much fun. Tomorrow  is my last workday of the week and next week only thursday and then it is the new year already.
