So weekend is almost over, and 1 extra hour due to the wintertime, always nice. Luckely the kids didn't wake up an hour earlier because yesterday we had a little Halloween celebrations, they went to bed a little later then normally. Today we had a visit from my parents they came back from france last week and will stay in the Netherland during the winter. Happy to have them back :) so were the kids.

These are my latest LO's.

Zand: for the last round of the dare/sketch challenge at SA.

Tristan 2,5 jr.
For the kwartaal challenge, task was to us package material. I use a package of Sassafras (with the lines), handy when you have lots to tell :)
To dig or not to dig:
Also for the kwartaal challenge, this was a lift. I got messy with paint, mist and ink :) The right half is a sassafras paper, great isn't it.

Ans again for the kwartaalchallenge (do I see a pattern ;), these challenges really keep me going)
Ergens in oktober: this was also a lift and we needed to use a dutch songtext by Blof. The original had autumnleaves all over, I decided to get my butterflypunches to work ;) I also was inspired by a LO of Kinsey Wilson .

Have a nice week.

Dutch Dares #32

And it was time for the new sketch challenge over at the Dutch Dares. Sketch was made by Ellemieke.

I combined it with a dare from the 'kwartaal challenge'  to use a little clothespin.
I use an idea of an online workshop I followed of Wilna Furstenberg. I made a 'washline' to hang a picture.

2 brothers: journaling about the bond between Camiel and Tristan.

For the challenge of the 'kwartaalchallenge' we had to use the brand Collage Press. I used it as my background paper. (And again used something older from my stash, always nice).
Pictures are from 2 years ago. We were at the fair and afterward did grocery shopping. Camiel feel asleep in the card with head on the price he won at the fair. :) He must have been exhausted because not something for him to do.
I punched out the circles of the Studio Calico paper and put some 3d-dots under it. I punch out a bit of the upper  sid eand bottom, I used my postage stamp punch, just 1 side and repeated that for this effect.
Also did some handstiching, haven't done that in a while. I was inspired by Kinsey Wilson, she was guest designer at Studio Calico this month and she really is the queen of handstiching, you really need to look at het LO's with the SC kit. So amazing.

And finished another LO for the 'kwartaal challenge' at Scrapotheek. The task was to use 6 pictures, I already had these 6 lying around, so great opportunity to scrap them. They were made during the summerholiday.

Jump jump I used my new postage stamp punch, I also used a little pink mist on the background.

see you,

Hugs, Astrid

This weekend on the SA forum they had a sketch which I used to make this LO. Yesterday I finished it with little bits and pieces (like I always do ;)  ) I also made it for the kwartaalchallenge on the Scrapotheek forum, I task was use paint. I fianlly used my crackle paint (Ranger) again, love that stuff.

Starring father and son:
Made this picture of Etienne and Camiel a few weeks ago during a walk, we wanted to look for chestnuts but they were still on the trees, so I tried a little photoshoot. Love this photo, somebody on the forumday mentioned it looks like a picture from a fashiomagazine :D
I bought the metal stars on the forumday and I can see myself using them more often ;)

Thanks for stopping by.

Dutch Dare tegel wijsheden

The last Dutch Dare was to use a tile wisdom, I used the very original 'home sweet home' ;)
Pictures of 2 years ago, the front of our house, love my home.

Today was such a lovely sunny fall day, so we went to the woods this afternoon. To the 'Utrechtse Heuvelrug, de Kaapse Bossen'.  We had a great walk although it was a bit long and I have sore legs now. And Camiel was complaining he was so tired but I proud of hime he walked all the way. I made some pictures, I haven't upload them on the laptop yet, so don't know how they are. I was looking for nice toadstools, but haven't seen many.
Yesterday I was at a forumday of the scrappers anonimous forum,   en de Scrapotheek it was in Culemborg, I didn't know any of the ladies in real life, but I was nice to meet a lot of new faces. We had a nice day, the shop of Scrapotheek was also there so I did a bit of shopping and even made a LO (which is almost ready). To go short I was a nice day :)

 Thanks for stopping by.

First LO kwartaalchallenge

Since a few weeks I'm active on the Scrapotheekforum, they have a fun challenge going on. A quarterlychallenge, each month (october, november and december) we have 6 different challenges (already know them for the whole period), you get a point for each challenge you finish and there are suppose to be more challenges during the period. The one with the most point wins. (of course).
I really liked the challenges so I decided to join, don't how much I can make, but just for fun and I like a good challenge.

OK the first one I made was voor october the color challenge with a autumn theme
These were the colors:

Nature can be so beautiful, picture is of 2 years ago. I love this crown edge punch, I cut the little toadstool in two halfs, otherwise I is so thick and now I have two ;) I love this colorcombination by the way.

And the second one was a sketch and the format A4 or 12x6 inch.
No fear:
This summer we were in Artis (zoo in Amsterdam) together with Ingeborg my sister, she has a subscription. We have one  for Blijdorp Rotterdam, such a different zoo, so nice for a change.
Tristan was checking out the silverback gorilla. The way he looked at him, brrr I was glad there was glass between them ;)  But Tristan wasn't realy impressed...
Not my normal style of scrapping, again nice of a change.

Already de 3th dare/sketch challenge van het SA forum was live.
This was the sketch:

And this the dare:

I choose to use the colors I just love this colorcombination, which shouts out black and white pictures.I decided to use pictures of me when I was pregnants by Tristan, almost 3 years ago, time sure flies. Etienne shoot this pics I glad we did it.

This is the result:

Today I have the day off because they have a studyday at daycare, so Tristan is home. I don't work on tuesday and wednesday which means, I don't have to work for 5 days at a row. :)
Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, we when swimming  in the morning (inside of course) so Camiel could practise a little for his swimminglessons. And in the afternoon in little stroll in the park in our neighbourhood  so I could make some pictures.

Great material for scrapping ;)

Thanks for looking,
